The oldest scientific institution in Brazil caught fire

Having more than 20 million items, the 200-year-old scientific institution caught with huge fire on Sunday. The National Museum of Brazil was previously the residence for the royal Portuguese family. The director of the museum has stated the incident as ‘cultural tragedy’. No one was injured in the accident. The reason for fire and total damage is not yet known. The museum was established in 1818 in Rio de Janeiro.
