Wildlife authorities recently discovered a three-eyed snake on a highway in northern Australia. Nicknamed Monty Python, the baby carpet python, however, died just weeks after it was found. Experts suggest the snake's third eye, on top of its head, is a natural mutation. X-ray scans showed the snake didn’t have two heads developed together. It’s one skull with an additional eye socket and three functioning eyes.
