It was on December 2, 1995, 22 years ago, that the European Space Agency and NASA launched a joint mission named the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, to track the solar movement. NASA recently shared a 50-minute long timelapse video that tracked 360-view of the Sun's movement for over 2 decades. The mission's original operating phase was scheduled only for two years but it underwent several extensions.
