In a bid to protect the state from the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant, the Manipur government has decided to impose a total curfew for 10 days. The curfew will be enforced on July 18. "There is a need to take stringent measures to break the chain of transmission," the health department said. All the institutions, except the essential services, will remain closed during the curfew, CM N Biren Singh said.
