Twitter Never Really Deletes Direct Messages

A security researcher Karan Saini found out that Twitter retains direct messages for years including you and others have deleted, and accounts that have been deactivated. He found years old messages of an account that was no longer on Twitter, in a file from its data archival. He also said a similar bug allowed him to retrieve deleted messages from both recipient & sender but not from suspended accounts.
