Twitter employee was groomed as a spy by Saudi Arabia

Western intelligence officials have claimed that Saudi Arabia government groomed of the Twitter employees, Ali Alzabarah in 2013 "to spy on the accounts of dissidents and others", as a part of the country's efforts to combat dissent on platforms like Twitter. Twitter had put Alzabarah on an administrative leave but did not find any evidence of data leak to Saudi Arabia and later fired him in 2015.
