Uber received more than 3,000 allegations of sexual assault last year

Ride-hailing platform Uber, for the first time, released data on the number of passengers and drivers alleging they've been sexually assaulted. According to the 84-page review of 2017 and 2018, Uber received 5,981 allegations of serious sexual assault in the U.S. over the course of 2017 and 2018 and 3,045 last year alone. 235 were reports of rape, 280 were reports of attempted rape and 1,560 were reports of groping in 2018
