As the death toll rose to 13,729 & COVID-19 positive cases rose to 103,093; Boris Johnson has extended the lockdown in the UK by at least 3 weeks with a hope that social distancing & other restrictions will have some impact. Experts & ministers said lifting lockdown or return to normalcy will not be feasible until a mass vaccine is available. Health minister Dorries too feels exit of full lockdown is possible only when there is a vaccine.
