According to a report, the United Kingdom is looking to increase its nuclear stockpile with an eye on Russia and China. While a government review is still awaited, the report says that UK is looking to increase its nuclear warheads from 180 to 260 by the middle of this decade. This is because the UK sees Russia under President Vladimir Putin as an “active threat”. The government also thinks that China poses a “systemic challenge”.
