India and Japan called for strengthened cooperation in science and technology for countering the threat posed by the novel Coronavirus. “We believe that a strengthened STI cooperation is key to accelerating our collective response to COVID-19, as well as to achieving human security, by building on the foundations for inclusive and sustainable development,” Dr. Arabinda Mitra said while delivering a joint statement.
