UN Report: Lowest Homicide rate in the World is Asia, while Highest is America

Asia contains 60% of the global population, and it recorded the lowest rate of homicide in the world. The highest homicide rate was recorded in the Americas. The UNODC published a report on a global study on Homicide. It said about 464,000 people across the world were killed in homicides in 2017. The lowest homicide rate in 2017 was reported in Asia with 104,000 victims, that means a rate of 2.3 per 100,000 population.
