As per a UN report, the world has not met a single target to stop the destruction of wildlife in the last decade. It's the second consecutive decade that the governments have failed to achieve the goals. About 6 goals were achieved partially but governments couldn't protect 17% of terrestrial and inland water areas, 10% of marine habitats however, nearly 44% of vital biodiverse areas are now protected.
