UNICEF plans to ship 2 billion Covid vaccines to poor nations next year

United Nations children’s agency UNICEF has said that it will ship nearly 2 billion doses of coronavirus vaccine to developing countries next year. The organisation is in contact with 350 airlines and freight companies for the supply of the vaccines. UNICEF will also supply 1 billion syringes to poor countries such as Burundi, Afghanistan and Yemen. UNICEF director Etleva Kadilli said it will be a "historic and mammoth operation."
