UNICEF Study: India sees dip in Soil Pollution, thanks to Swachh Bharat mission

A UNICEF Study finds that Modi's Swachh Bharat mission has reduced groundwater contamination in many villages. Even a study done by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation says the scheme spent Rs 23,000 crore for creating awareness on sanitation in rural areas. Soil contamination was found 1.13 times more in non-ODF villages. UNICEF representative Yasmin Ali Haque wants Swachh Bharata scheme to be continued & sustained.
