Union Government asks states to test grocery shop workers, vendors

In a bid to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, the Centre has asked states and Union Territories to take up coronavirus testing of grocery shop workers, vegetable and other vendors. Centre has said that if the spread of COVID19 goes undetected among the shop owners, the infection could be spread to a large number of people. Rajesh Bhushan, the secretary in the Health Ministry has written to the states in the matter.
