As per a new study, the widespread use of facemasks can help in ending the lockdown and help economies reopen safely from coronavirus lockdown when coupled with social distancing norms and other preventive measures. The study says the risk of transmission is lower in households and among contacts of infected people when masks were worn. Researchers warned that there is low certainty to the findings on the benefits of masks.
