UP judge solves Muslim couple's dispute under Hindu Marriage Act, HC questions his successor

In a bizarre incident, a judge from Uttar Pradesh gave a decision in a case regarding a Muslim couple’s matrimonial dispute, under the Hindu Marriage Act and directed the husband to pay an interim maintenance. When the Allahabad High Court came to know about the incident it was shocked. What was more shocking was that the HC summoned the successor of the judge in question. The judge in the case was a district judge.
