UP ranks 3rd in e-waste generation, globally India ranks 5th

Even though there is no e-waste recycling system in the state, Uttar Pradesh has come 3rd in e-waste generation after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, according to a programme by IITR. The programme on toxicology and e-waste was held in Lucknow and according to the reports, India ranks 5th globally in e-waste production following the US, China, Japan and Germany. India still needs an effect e-waste recycling system.
