US Army chief feared Trump could spark a war, secretly called Chinese counterpart: Report

According to a report by the Washington Post, General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was concerned that former President Donald Trump could spark a war with China ahead of the Presidential elections. As per the report, General Milley secretly called his Chinese counterpart General Li Zuocheng twice to express his concerns. He first called Zuocheng on October 30, 2020, and then on January 8.
