US conducts successful flight test of Raytheon hypersonic weapon

Pentagon said United States has tested an air-breathing hypersonic weapon named Raytheon. The weapon is capable of travelling faster than five times the speed of sound. It could be seen as Washington's response to Russia's Tsirkon, a hypersonic cruise missile that President Vladimir Putin has hailed as the best hypersonic missile in the world. The advanced missile has been built by Raytheon Technologies.
