Under new emergency protocols approved, the US FDA will allow doctors across the country to treat critically ill patients with the virus, by using plasma donated by coronavirus survivors. The treatment is known as convalescent plasma which was used during the flu pandemic of 1918. Dr Henderdon from John Hopkins University said the approach definitely has merit and its remarkable as its not a new idea but an old one.
