US inks $1 billion deal with Johnson & Johnson for 100 million doses of potential coronavirus vaccine

United States government has reached an agreement with Johnson and Johnson for the payment of $1 billion to it in exchange for 100 million doses of the covid19 vaccine. The cost price of a single unit of vaccine under the contract will be roughly $10. The US government may also purchase an additional 200 million doses in another agreement. The vaccine will be delivered to the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority.
