US issues warrant to seize Iranian oil supertanker

US Justice Department has given the warrant to seize Grace 1, the detained Iranian oil tanker, only a day after a judge in Gibraltar ordered it to be released. The Grace 1 supertanker, with 2.1m barrels of oil, was detained last month for suspiciously illegally transporting oil to Syria. Interestingly, 2 weeks after US detained Grace 1, on July 19, Iran seized a British tanker Stena Impero in the Strait of Hormuz.
