According to the just-released annual report of the United States-China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC), the violent clash at Galwan valley in which 20 Indian soldiers were martyred while more than 40 Chinese soldiers lost their lives, was planned by the Chinese government. The report also says the clashes were planned after India’s construction of a "strategic access road to support troops" deployed along the border.
