US reveals a blueprint for 'virtually unhackable' national quantum internet

The US Dept of Energy has revealed a blueprint for a virtually unhackable national quantum internet which they claim could be functional within a decade. The network will run along with the existing web as a parallel internet for communicating sensitive govt & financial data. The extra security comes from a complex phenomenon called quantum entanglement. The project aims to give the US an edge over China in the quantum race.
