US tests missile banned by expired INF treaty, pentagon confirms

The US military has tested a ground cruise missile with a range of over 500km, the Pentagon had confirmed. Such weapons were banned by the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) arms control treaty, which the US exited in August. The test was conducted on August 18, and it is learnt that its target was struck more than 500km, which was banned under the INF treaty, a key arms that help de-escalate Cold War nuclear tensions.
