Use of steroids may reduce the risk of death: WHO

The World Health Organisation has recommended the use of corticosteroid drugs for treating critically ill COVID-19 patients adding that it reduces the risk of death by 20%. The recommendation was made after an analysis of seven international trials. According to the analysis of the drugs, the use of steroids may improve survival rates of COVID-19 patients sick enough to be in intensive care in the hospital.
