Uttar Pradesh poet's body found hanging from pole in Shamli

The body of a 58-year-old Uttar Pradesh based poet was found hanging from a pole in the neighbouring Shamli district. The dead poet has been identified as Abdulsami alias Galib Karanvi. According to the police, the poet committed suicide. The police said Karanvi's body was found in Kairana town on Saturday evening. The body has been sent for post-mortem by the authorities, for further investigation.
