Italian council gets flooded soon after rejecting measures on Climate change

Venice has been struck by its worst flood in the past 50 years. The Veneto regional council, which is located on Venice's iconic Grand Canal, was flooded for the first time ever right after it rejected measures on ways to combat climate change. The council chamber, which is located in Ferro Fini Palace, started to get covered in water at night when the councillors were debating about the 2020 regional budget.
