The vets in New Zealand have performed the world's first brain surgery on an endangered kakapo parrot. There are only 147 adult Kakapo alive today, and the vets are trying to conserve the species from extinction. Kakapo parrots are the largest parrots in the world. The 56-days old Kakapo parrot was born with a life-threatening skull abnormality, and the vets took extreme measure to perform the surgery.
