Victoria has become the 1st Australian state to allow assisted death as terminally-ill Victorians can now legally ask their doctor for lethal drugs under the country's only euthanasia laws. The assisted dying law in the state has come into effect from Wednesday. Under this, terminally-ill adults going through extreme pain and with less than 6 months to live, and who meet 68 safeguards can ask doctor's help in dying.
