Vodafone Idea pays Rs 1,000 crore AGR dues to the telecom department

Vodafone Idea today paid Rs 1,000 crore more to the Department of Telecommunications towards its statutory dues, according to what a senior official said. The firm had earlier on Monday paid Rs 2,500 crore as adjusted gross revenue dues to the government. Meanwhile, the debt-ridden company rather owes a big amount of Rs 53,000 crore to the telecom department. However, its cash balance is less than the liability it owes.
