Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has announced the extension of public emergency for 15 days after the violence at US Capitol by Donald Trump supporters. The public emergency will be in place till January 21, the day after President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration. The authorities can also call curfew during this period if the situation worsens. Over 50 people have been arrested while one has been shot dead by the police.
