Water Crisis Worsens: Water Levels in 91 major reservoirs dipped to 20% of total storage capacity

According to the CWC, the water in 91 major reservoirs in the country in the week ending was 31.65 billion cubic meters, which are 20% of the total storage capacity of these reservoirs. Water storage in reservoirs of most states in the west & south India has dipped to less than the avg of the last 10 years. Water storage during the current year is less than the storage of last year & is also less than avg storage of 10 years.
