The central government has submitted a fresh affidavit in the Delhi High Court, stating that the Facebook-owned messaging platform Whatsapp is obtaining 'trick consent' from users for its updated privacy policy. The Centre accused Whatsapp of indulging in anti-users practices. The government argued that the action by Whatsapp was "against the very grain of prima facie opinion of the Competition Commission of India's order."
