Due to the tighter regulations, it is becoming increasingly difficult for people to find an ATM in India. The ATM operators are struggling to absorb the cost of the software and equipment, and as a result, the number of ATM has shrunk in India in the last couple of years. The declining number of ATMs will affect a large segment of the Indian population. This will also boost the usage of mobile banking in the country.
