According to two studies published simultaneously in The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health journal, it has been claimed that effective contact-tracing must be done if schools are reopening. The study, which models the impact of UK schools reopening in September, says a second Covid-19 wave could be avoided in the country with a test-trace-isolate programme. Reopening of schools, must be accompanied by large-scale testing.
