World's first Ebola vaccine to be commercially available from mid-2020

The European Union has approved a vaccine to fight against the deadly disease Ebola and save lives. The vaccine called 'Ervebo' has been developed by pharmaceutical giant Merck while the medicine has been originally created by researchers from the Public Health Agency of Canada. WHO conducted a trial in the Democratic Republic of Congo where out of 100,000 people that were vaccinated, less than 3% of people ended up catching Ebola.
