Wrongly diagnosed death of patient, Mumbai hospital fined with Rs 60,000

In 2016, a Mumbai hospital and scanning center wrongly diagnosed a 72-years-old patient and asked his family that he is only having 24 hours of life. But actually, he was just suffering from a peptic ulcer. The family then took hospital to consumer forum for having deficiency in services. The forum ordered them to refund fees of Rs 51,000 they got with an interest of 9% from Feb’16 and give Rs 60,000 as compensation.
