'Yellow Warning' issued in Odisha due to cyclone Fani; EC lifts MCC in some areas

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a ‘yellow warning’ in Odisha due to the intensifying of Cyclone Fani from severe to extremely severe cyclonic storm. The IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts of the coastal state. Also, the Election Commission during the time of elections has lifted the Model of Code of Conduct from some districts in Odisha to provide speedy rescue operations.
