Climate change is affecting food security hard. According to a report by the GCA, the demand for food will increase by 50% while yield may decrease by 30% by 2050. The report said that desertification is not an imaginary scenario yet, but the degradation of habitat is affecting the most vulnerable species. The absence of any ambitious climate action might spoil the balance between food demand and supply.
