Yogi Adityanath government planning to rename Sultanpur as Kush Bhawanpur

According to a report by news agency IANS, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government is planning to change the name of Sultanpur to Kush Bhawanpur. A proposal regarding the same has been sent to the Uttar Pradesh government for approval by the state cabinet. Kush is the name of the son of Lord Son. The issue was first raised in the assembly in 2018 by BJP MLA Devmani Dwivedi, the representative from Lambhua (Sultanpur).
