China proposes Kunming- Kolkata bullet train

Ma Zhanwu, Chinese consul general in Kolkata said that a bullet train service between China's Kunming and Kolkata through Myanmar and Bangladesh. A 2,000 km long journey will be covered in just 2 hours if it happens. Ma also said that this will boost the trade flow in the BCIM corridor. That this project will have shared benefits for China and India both and this is not to conquer the neighbouring countries, he clarified.
