Petrol price continue to rise, touched Rs 81 mark in Delhi, 88.39 in Mumbai

Fuel prices are on the rise with the petrol price touched Rs 81 and Diesel price touched Rs 73.08 per litre in New Delhi. In Mumbai, petrol price touched Rs 88.39 while diesel price touched 77.58 per litre. However, with the petrol and diesel prices going up toward the Rs 90 mark, the govt is not ready to cut the excise duty on fuel as it can affect the downfall of the rupee, even more, said a top govt official.
