83 missing Indian prisoners of war believed to be in Pakistan custody: MoS tells Lok Sabha

The Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan has told the Lok Sabha that the number of Indian prisoners of war (PoW) taken into custody during the Indo-Pak wars if 1965 and 1971 stand at 83. Many of them are believed to be alive and imprisoned in different jails in Pakistan despite the country denying the existence of Indian PoWs. Army veterans believe that it is one of Pakistan's worst kept secrets.
