India stands with Mauritius in Chagos island dispute

India has supported Mauritius's claim on the disputed Chagos Island that is under the control of UK. In the year 1820, UK took control of Chagos archipelago from Mauritius but in 1965Chagos were detached from the colony of Mauritius. In 1968, Mauritius became independent. India's ambassador in Netherlands said that according to historical facts Mauritius always had control over Chagos as the decolonization was incomplete.
