The New York Times took down a tweet that it posted after the arrest of Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami by the Mumbai police. A part of the tweet read: “One of India’s most famous TV journalists, the conservative anchor Arnab Goswami, was arrested on charges of abetting a suicide in Mumbai, where a progressive political party is in power." The tweet was deleted as NYT received flak for calling Shivsena 'progressive'.
