The Centre for Media Studies after releasing a report on 2019 polls expenditure claimed that the recently concluded polls indicate more the expenditure, the more vicious & ugly the campaigns become. It says a whopping amount was spent in the 2019 polls & that should scare us. It claimed Rs 60,000 crore was spent in 2019 polls, EC spent nearly 15-20% of that & nearly Rs 100 crores per LS constituency has been spent.
