After protests, Center revised draft NEP 2019 & didn't make Hindi mandate

Ministers are protesting the govt's changes in the draft of education policy since it said that the Hindi language will be mandated to study in non-Hindi speaking states. After the minister refused to accept the National Education Policy (NEP) 2019, the Ministry of Human Resource Development released a revised draft and removed the requirement. It said students can change language of their preference in Class 6th & 7th.
