Ahead of the general elections in Myanmar on November 8, Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla and Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane visited the far eastern neighbour where Shringla congratulated the leadership there for successfully holding the Fourth meeting of the 21st Century Panglong Peace Conference. According to the foreign ministry, "the visit provided an opportunity to review the sustained progress in bilateral relations."
